Bin Management
Bins are the core containers in Tag The Bin. Each bin represents a physical storage container that can hold multiple items.
Creating Your First Bin
- Tap the "+" button on the main screen
- Select "New Bin"
- Enter a descriptive name for your bin
- Add a photo (recommended)
- Set the location and any custom fields
- Save your bin
QR Code Generation
Each bin automatically gets a unique QR code. You can print these labels to attach to your physical containers:
// Example QR Code URL
https://app.tagthebin.com/bin/ABC123
// Scanning this code will:
// 1. Open the bin details
// 2. Show all items in the bin
// 3. Allow quick item addition
For best results, print QR codes on waterproof labels. We recommend 2" x 2" labels for most containers.

Items are the individual belongings you store within your bins. Tag The Bin makes it easy to track every single item with photos, descriptions, and custom fields.
